    Hi Guys,
Seem to have a problem with the test cut and all cuts tbh…
I have the Bridge Pro 870 32" cutter (same as refine)
Its test cut is a square with a diamond inside it.
It cuts ok but the top left corner of the box is always slightly rounded.
I just cant seem to get a sharp nice cut.
When cutting text it adds this curve to the bottom of the text and looks poor.
Im cutting at 90G force and about 100mm/s
Im a complete newbie to cutting and only got the cutter last night so i may be doing something silly.
the curve gets bigger when i add force and not so obvious when i lower it but when it starts to look ok the vinyl hasnt been cut deep enough to weed 🙁
    Any help would be great!
What settings do you use for normal vinyl?

This may be an offset problem. What does your supplier say about it?

    just contacting him about it.

Heres a pic of the test cut.

I played with the settings between each cut and the worse curvey one is on a larger force (about 110G)
after that they get better but where a pain to weed.

If you find weeding that a pain don’t do a menu board 😀
Are your pinch rollers gripping the vinyl ok, it looks like the vinyl has been moving while cutting.

I would have expected that increasing the force would have no effect on the shape cut but would tend to cut through the material.

i think glen has it the vinyl is distorting as its moved,
cut a row of 20 mm text across the plotter and watch the vinyl, does it look like its buckling. it needs to remain flat,
causes not enough knife showing and to much pressure.
backing paper not sliding on the cutting strip at the point of the cut.
vinyl has to thin or unstable backing paper.
some times a wipe of the surface with mrsheen where the vinyl slides back and forth.

The other thing to check is that your knife is not blunt – if this is a new machine then the knife should also be new so this can be ruled out. However, if the machine is bought second hand – then it may be worth trying a new blade

    Thanks for the replies.
The blade is brand new and the vinyl doesnt seem to be buckling (new machine and vinyl)
Seems to have cleared up abit after playing with the blades adjustment.
How small can this cutter cut?
I tried text in my software at about 1 1/2 cm tall but it just made a mess of it.
Its still not as sharp as id like it when cutting squares etc… looks ok on large text/images though.
