  • Air bubbles in vinyl – best way to get rid?

Posted by knud on 5 January 2006 at 09:48

As a newcomer to the business with an Edge FX I’m finding it difficult to get rid of air bubbles when fixing vinyl to boards or alu.
Any suggestions? is a roller or scraper necessary?
Thanks for a very informative site.

It is all in the wrist action.

I assume you are doing it dry?

Have you tried a foam squeegee/applicator? They are more forgiving.

Rob has a demo on here that gives a good idea on the wrist action. Probably good if you check it out….

Have you applied much vinyl before? Is this a new problem? As Shane said try taking a look at Robs demo it’s very helpful.
