  • Agila Styling what technique should i be doing?

One of my clients bought a Opel Agila and asked me to put vinyl on it. Since the car is mostly known (and really looks like) an old-people-car I wanted to make it a bit more sportive. The images below show soem of what I want to make of it, however there is one problem.

I am just a starter and don’t have any experience yet with applying cast vinyls to difficult roundings. I probably can get the car for a few days and I can make time free for this and I do want to learn wrapping, so that isn’t the problem.

Looking at the parts that have to become orange I see some parts that look almost impossible, like the holes.

Please let me know what you think and what technique you would be using.
I will be using Avery 910.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hoi JJ. Alles Kits?

Haven’t tried Avery 910 myself so can’t comment on that.
You are certainly going to have fun trying to apply to those bumpers (I’m sure that word means something else in Dutch), but if you don’t mind experimenting and have the time to do so, you will certainly learn a lot from doing so.
I take it you have a heat gun?
I know how I would try to go about this but can’t say if it would work for you.

I love vinyl and using it but sometimes a spray paint can is better, especially for all the recesses just a thought 🙄

    Thanks for the replies,

Hallo Baship, alles zeker kits hier in Nederland!

Bumpers is the correct word in Dutch (tevens gebruikt voor de vrouwelijke voorpui). Yes I have a heat gun. Do you have some tips on how to do this job.

Lynn: for me painting on cars is never an option.

have a look at the part wrapped tanning van i did a demo on mate, if i type what to do it would only confuse you and others, see the demo and apply same technique to the bumpers. it will be far from easy. not something ide advise practicing with, so your chucking yourself in the deep end which is sometimes a good thing.
as Paul says, good heat gun is essential. 😉

trial & error is probably the case, I will give it a try.
If the job is a go I will post the pictures.
    Thanks again for the tips!
