I am looking to purchase either new or used a printer/cutter, as small as possible, & hopefully as cheap as possible.
I need to be able to print onto clear vinyl so white needs to be a print colour,
Can anybody advise me on what to buy or not.
    Thanks
    David

For white, you really need to be looking at a thermal printer like a Gerber Edge.
There are a few inkjet printers which do white, but the print can still appear translucent.

    Hi David

Why do you need to print onto clear so white must be a print colour?

Can you not print onto white?

Jason is spot on, an Edge is the way to go, edge FX if funds reach that far. You’ll also need the appropriate plotter and software etc….not a cheap set up!

What are your intentions for the future or is this for ‘one’ job?

    Regards…Matt

    Hi
i will be printing onto clear vinyl so white needs to be one of the colours.
it will be for on going work.
not sure whether a solvent type ink jet/cutter will do?
