  • Advice – RS-640 Head Cap has movement

Just carried out my routine clean on the printer.

Cleaning around the head caps (think that’s the term), noticed that the far left cap has a little play in it.

The other 3 are all solid in place.

Not sure if it will cause any problems, I assume it will continue to seal correctly?

the outer case should be firm but the centre capping part is spring loaded presuming the RS is similar to other rolands.

From memory and not knowing much about the machine.

It appears that the outer case is fixed onto a spring loaded carriage, and the inner black caps clip onto the outer case.

I will post a pic tomorrow to clarify.

Just seems odd that 1 is loose the others aren’t.
