  • Advice on wrapping a catering trailer

I’ve not really done this sort of stuff before but need to change the colour of a mostly glass fibre flat panelled catering trailer from white to black.
Any advice appreciated on which would be the best type vinyl, and the best application method.
    The largest panel is 2200mm x 4400mm.

i have two monster sized trailers for Man United next week. you will be fine using a decent digital or solid colour vinyl as its all flat panels. if you are having to wrap the frame work also, make sure you are not trying to mould the vinyl into the groves, simply cut/slit it or it will pop back out.
if you not comfortable with large flat panels opt for an airflow adhesive on the vinyls. remember i am not talking a wrap media. something like Oracal 551 or 751 with air escape adhesive and you should be fine.
also, apply application tape on it will also speed you up as it will be thinner than normal as its not laminated or a wrap media. i say that because i wrapped an artic outside yesterday, it was in the shade but still very warm and made the initial tack very high. luckily it was laminated media so it was more forgiving.
in a nutshell, if you can get it inside, do it inside. this lovely sun becomes the enemy when fitting these days. :lol1:

Thanks Robert. Seems funny to hear that it’s too warm in Scotland!
