    Hi Guys,
    Newbie here….
I was wondering what do i need to wrap plain coloured vinyl round some bike fairings?
What vinyl do i need and how do you apply it? i have no idea yet but i want to test on my own bike fairing (so safe for me to mess up)
I dont need it printing on, just plain colours.

    Adam,

Do a lot of work for bikes. Never done a wrap though.

I remember that Jason Xuereb from on here, done a full wrap on a R6 a while ago. Have a wee hunt through the site and you should find it.

I think that your best to use a proper ‘wrap’ vinyl for bikes, especially with the number of curves etc.

I’ve done a few bike fairings (not full wraps though) and you definatly need a high quality vinyl, the cheaper ones show a lot of discolouration in areas that have been stretched, even good vinyls have a limit.

I’m not sure what colour ranges wrapping vinyls come in so you’ll have to talk to your suppliers.

Ok so high quality vinyl, is this normal vinyl or special wrap vinyl?
If its wrap vinyl or a special vinyl where can i get it?
Also how do you stretch it? using heat? special tools?
Any help or a link to a tutorial would be great.
    Thanks.
