advice on where to order chevrons kits?
ive got a truck to fit , the back needs to have chevrons and ‘ highway maintenance ‘
, most places i’ve looked at supply kits , but as this is custom fitted truck they wont do
what and were is my best option ? any help advice would be tip top cheers in advance -

William Smith sell 150mm diamond grade on a roll and you can buy the yellow on the roll as well up to 1520mm i think but for the life of me can’t think of the name of the yellowKev

What about sealing it Kevin, I thought Diamond grade needed to be sealed.

Sealed the ambulance i done with clear laminate.
Not easy to work with so charge plenty!

Surely bluelight supply their kits pre-sealed Ryan?
Wm Smiths cut there’s using a zund with an on board high frequency welder
which seals their kits as they cut.you shouldnt need to buy a kit, then seal mate.
We make our own kits these days, but used Smiths and found their service and price far better than most. ive actually done a tutorial in the members area showing how i assembled the kit prior to installing.

They do indeed but like the OP the vehicle i was installing wasn’t a standard design and therefor there was no kit available.

but from your post above i took the "+1 bluelight"
then elaborated onto how you sealed your kit with clear vinyl as they supplied and you sealed it?anyway, the quick way round the edge sealing and cutting pallava is to use Oracal Reflexite conspicuity film.

If we don’t already have the required kit on our system and not enough time to get it templated and digitized ect. then we do sell the 150mm wide rolls of red diamond grade 980-72 which are pre edge sealed. The edges which you cut during fitting can be edge sealed with a special edge sealer or I have know some use slithers of laminate to seal the edges.
The kits are solid non reflective fluorescent yellow panels with the DG applied over the top.
Most trucks I see have chevroned ally plates riveted to the back, and no template is needed for that just a panel size.

I just bought what i needed by the running meter from them. They offered me the best price i could find.
Unfortunately they (st johns ambulance) specified 3m diamond grade so my hands were tied. In the past they had suffered from reflectives loosing their colour which i would assume is why they now specify what they want, no questions asked.

Thanks Kevin, I’ve never actually used diamond grade, in fact the only cheverons I have ever done were years ago using engineering grade because the customer wouldn’t pay for anything more expensive.
