    Hi All
    Looking for some professional advice.
I’m Looking to buy my first Print and Cut Machine to expand on my vinyl cutter work. I have been looking for a Roland SP300v as and entry level machine for me on a tight budget.
A Uniform Cadet SP300v has come up, but other than it being cosmetically not in great condition and has a couple off nozzles out does anyone have any opinions on this re-badged machine??.
    Appreciate your comments in advance

the printer could be upto 10 years old but excellent machines none the less…
it all comes down to how well it has been looked after, maintained etc. bit like buying a used car. miles on the clock, has it been run on red diesel father than a quality diesel… blah blah blah…

have you seen it working in person?
    do you know the seller?

    Hi Rob.
    Thanks for your reply…
The printer is about 10 years old. I have seen it running and it seems to print and cut ok dispite having a couple of nozzles out. However, cosmetically the printer condition is poor and that makes me think that maybe the printer has not been cared for as I would if it was mine. It’s had two owners and not seen an engineer for at least 18 months as the seller did his own repairs.
I don’t know if Roland would give me a maintanance contract on a machine this old, or whether I should hang on a little longer and wait for a Newer roland badged machine comes up.
Are you aware if a newer model would print any faster??

print heads can be expensive… so it maybe being off loaded as they are on their road out. not sure… but worth noting.

here is what i recently did with my ten year old machine and its running like a dream!
this machine is the grenadier, the cadets big brother.

You’d be surprised at how many Uniform Cadet/Grenadier (or Roland equivalent) are still out there, I still have a good few on maintenance contract. They’re a cracking machine and parts are easily available for them and will be for a long time to come as far as I can see.
