    anyone know where i can get some software that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

    Most plotters will come with a basic cutting program or ‘add-on’ to cut from Corel or similar.

    Software is part of the business investment like a plotter, premises & a vehicle…speculate to accumulate & all that…

    yeah, it just seems like its never ending tho,I’m always finding that i need more stuff.

    the only software i have is adobe photoshop cs3.

    Then go for Illustrator CS3 with an appropriate plug-in to drive your cutter.

    Maybe not the cheapest solution, but if you are familiar with Adobe already then the Illustrator learning curve will be a lot flatter than for anything else.

    all depend what you want to do.

    I highly recommend one of the flexi sign packages even the entry level if you just want to cut vinyl.

    It is very much like Adobe and you can also customize your work space to match photo shop so short cut keys etc are the same.
