  • Advice on Roland service contract

    Hi

My versacamm is coming up to a year old and I have received an offer regarding their service contract. As I only have one machine, cover is important but I presume there are other companies that offer a service contract. Can anyone recommend one?
Roland’s is expensive but covers phone support, software, all parts and an annual maintenance visit.

    Many thanks

    Nick

i always think that 2nd year is more important then the 1st year with service contracts, it is likely to be the year that something goes wrong!

dont under estimate Roland, speaking with the owners here of that machine the cover is actually pretty good, one of Roland strong points.

Although companies like Tech8 who provide 3rd party cover and do it well, I would think about it carefully .

Have a look at your test print…. look at the deflections… look at nozzles missing, if you see them do something about it now

All maintenance contracts I’ve/we’ve offered over the years are inclusive of telephone support, callout, labour, travel and all parts except consumable items and physical damage. I don’t think the cover offered by Roland is more comprehensive than any other. There are many maintenance and insurance companies to choose from, the cheapest not always being the most cost effective in the long run. Do some research and don’t forget the freelance engineers.

    Best of luck
