    welcome

i have a pc 60 and still use it for specific small jobs, it will still do things my other printers will not.
its very expensive to run for normal stuff. but superb at what it does best.

it all depends on what you want to do with it.

Do you have any pictures of the quality of print? By expensive how much say a metre of vinyl fully printed? Is the print waterproof? We do a lot of vehicle signage and just though it would be good to be able to put the customers artwork on the vinyl then on to the vehicles is their a better or cheaper way?

    Lucy, Hi.
forget the pc 60 for vehicle signage it is just to expensive to compete with inkjet. and not that good for anything other than small specialised decals, like gold print. A gerber is better if you can get one cheap enough, but if you want to do print vinyl for vehicles either buy in untill you have a large enough customer base to justify buying an inkjet , or take the plunge buy an inkjet and find work for it. Inkjets can print onto a wide range of materials, banners, and canvas etc, so you may be able to open other sources of revenue.

I also have a PC 60 but would not dream of using it for signs bigger than A4 due to the cost and also the renowned banding problem from using the 8mm ribbons, print quality on photo images is also poor. This printer has its uses as Chris has said but I think a meter of vinyl printed on this would cost around £30-40 pound and is way to expensive.
