advice on how to cover a pan sign please?
Hi there lovely peeps 🙂
Existing pan sign 30inch by around 40ft. it and one time had 3d letters on it which has left holes dotted in the face of it. Customer wants this covered so you cannot see the holes.(wants it done cheap in other words)
how would I go about this?
ali panel over the top?…if so …how would this be fixed? is there any way of doing it without screws? is there a chance of buckling?
Please any advice gratefully received.

Composite panel with folded edge top and bottom would work.
but then you could just fold the ends to make a pan and replace completelyPeter

Yep, fit a new composite pan.

yep…doesnt look like there is a cheap option other than to cover it with vinyl and live with the dips!

you could fill the holes first Cheryl, and a quick rub down before flood coating. depend on how many there are though to be cost effective

cut some circles of matching colour on your plotter and stick em on – cant get cheaper than that 😉

I have done this a few times with no come backs,
as Peter has said aboveafter removing stand off lettering sand over holes as most time the screw has left a high spot on the ali, after sanding using a 2 pack filler like plastic padding or easy sand 1, skim over the holes and allow to dry 10mins and sand. I then normally give it one more over the top with stopper and re sand job done and ready for a flood coat. Take no time at all.

Cheryl, had same problem last year….so I used a panatrim (or similar) frame around the edge and flooded foamex panels, looked a treat and for not loads of money.
(Colours nearly matched existing tray in this case) but anything that compliments should still look good.
