    Hi there

Just bought encad630 can someone answer a few questions?

    1. It’s come with a box which says firey with lots or sockets on the back
and sounds like it’s has a hard drive in it, can you explain what this does
and if its worth keeping if so is there a manual available for it.

    2. The ink cartages that are in printer say GS yellow, GS magenta,
GS cyan GS+ black is this ok i.e. the black has GS+ ink or should it be GS?

    Thanks Dean

the fiery is the rip for the printer.

this is an old hardware type rip that you put on your network and upload files to.

if you do not have a software rip then you need to keep this.

    gs+ should be fine.

    Hiya Dean,
From my experience, a carriage access failure normally means that the carriage bushings are shot and need to be replaced. From what I recall, they aren’t expensive, but they can be a p.i.t.a. to replace.
Here’s a link to the encad technical bulletin…
