Usally the expensive 3M laminated onto a cast wrap vinyl. But dont bother attempting it unless you are expert at wrapping.

Was there not a news story about a year back that went along the lines of:
"Man spends thousands on full chrome wrap….car denied MOT / not allowed on road"
Get paid up front….

I’ve wrapped loads of chrome motors. I think I’ve wrapped 4 mini’s. Basically there has to be joins in it. I can wrap a full car with almost no joins in it (apart from in filling small front bumper sections). With chrome there are a lot more joins in it. The vinyl just wont go around corners.
As soon as I’ve worked out how to do it I’ll attach images of a couple of chrome wraps I done not too long ago.

‘real’ chrome is a polyester base. It isn’t designed to wrap. The only chrome wraps I’ve seen use the vehicles joins to cut and shunt. Polyester usually has water based glues, and doing it wet is a no no. There is a chrome cast on the market, but it is not very shiny, but a lot easier to work with. Not sure who makes it thought.

3M do the chrome cast. not warranted for wrapping with, but this is the one thats been getting used for the chrome wraps.

What is the Avery vinyl you mention? Do you have a product code. Also do you have a link to the you tube vid you mentioned in the other thread?
Thanks
