Hi everyone, not been on this for a while but does anyone use Serif Draw, Photo plus etc? Someone I know who prints t-shirts uses it and reckons it’s pretty good, phoned them today and they made me a great offer so just checking if there any any issues with this software?

Yes I use it and it is good value for money, exporting as pdf is fine but AI or EPS is not so easy. PhotoPlus is good as well although the Corel Suite is still a better bet for me. Be warned though if you buy a serif product you will be pesterd constantly by emails and phone calls almost to the point of being spam and nuisance calls and their staff won’t take no for an answer if you don’t want to upgrade.

Thanks Allan. The guy I know did mention the sales calls, I just can’t believe the software you receive for such little money. They are giving me draw plus, photo plus, web plus and all the manuals for pennies.

Decided to give it a bash, would be daft not to at that price, looking forward to receiving the products now to mess about with them….told them no sales calls as I had been pre warned about that 😀

I’ve been using drawplus for 8 years or so found it much easier to use than Coreldraw although I do use Corel for some things. When you do get the upgrade call just keep saying you can’t afford it and they will put together all sorts of wonderful bundles for you.

Cheers Gordon, I purchased a bundle the other day there so hopefully I will get the software tomorrow. It seems really easy to use and I like the fact that it keeps the same interface throughout all the packages. Looking forward to getting it and giving it a bash

Gordon, out of interest how do you cut from DrawPlus?

I still use Corel for cutting, but most of my work is sublimation which Serif is fine for.

Thanks Gordon, I did wonder as DrawPlus doesn’t seem to export AI or eps like Corel.

I’m still waiting for my software to arrive but I asked if you can import and export eps files in X5 as you couldn’t in X3 and they assured me you can

    Hello Allan,

Not had much chance to mess about with the software but I have found that if you export what ever needs to be cut as auto cad then plt format it works fine. Cutting outlines on the older Roland colour rip software is a bit harder, you need to find away to add the colour ‘CutContour’ to the Pantone colour palate and that seems to work
