  • Advice needed on editing Photoshop files

Posted by Lorraine Clinch on 16 November 2012 at 13:01

Hi, I have a file which needs editing, created in Photoshop. I don’t use PS for anything, and it appears that the text in this file is locked. Can anyone advise how I can edit the file? Is it even possible? Any pointers gratefully received!

    Many thanks

    Hi Lorraine,

Go to layers pallete (F7 should bring it up), and find the relevant text. Check to see if it has a padlock next to it. If it does, click it again to get rid of it- the text should be editable (although think it will substitute a font if you dont have original font).

    Hope helps
