  • advice needed on eco solvent paper please?

Posted by Nick Tunstill on 24 October 2011 at 11:58

I have been asked to print some plans on a 100 to 120gsm paper.
Anyone come across a cheap lightweight paper that works on eco-solvent?

    thanks

    Nick

i use orical 90gsm paper for that job but not for big areas of heavy colour fill.

also if printing bigger that around 1000 long ask if they are going to work to scale from it as you will need to calibrate the print length first.

    I’m using Tri-Solv 135 gsm @ £80 for 60m.

Prints really well, and fills the gap between the A3 laser prints, and the 220gsm A2 prints I sell.

    The customer insists on 90-120gsm.

I tried Robert Horne a couple of times and they couldn’t trace it.

Do you have a contact there who may know what products they sell??

    Thanks

Spandex do a 120gsm blue back poster paper.

I think they’re about £80 for 50m. It’s what I would call semi gloss finish.

Hybrid sell a very good Satin Solvent Paper. I think it’s a 120gsm paper but I’ve got no idea what the price is like. Knowing Hybrid, probably about £400 per square micron 🙄
