    Any advice taken.

I have to give a quote tomorrow to a customer for 5 x 40ft & 3 x 45ft curtain trailers, plus tractor units and rear doors and I am looking for advice.

For the sides I will be using Avery 2200 and for the doors and cabs, that to will be Avery – has to be the same blue. I’m OK for the cabs & doors but am looking for advice on the curtains. Like the best way to apply the vinyl. Leave the curtains on the trailer, under tension or take them off, into work shop, lay flat on floor / hang on walls.

Is the technique for putting vinyl on the curtains any difference from putting vinyl on the cabs.

And the big question, how much do I charge.

All advice will be taken on board.
    Regards

    Lee,

I guess it depends on how complex the design is going to be, I always work out tricky jobs like this by adding material costs, hrs preparation time and take a guestimate for the fitting time. Then multiply it all up and add a ~20% contingency for profit and errors- I think Rob might be your best bet for app technique, though I guess he will be a bit overloaded when he returns from his fitting tour ! Avery web site might have some tips for this material too ?

You’re not using Avery2212 blue by any chance are you ? Just that I have a roll of about 20mx1220mm here which I don’t need or have space for ! Just thought I’d ask on the off chance anyway šŸ˜‰

    Hi Nigel

Thanks for the help. May take you up on the Avery, once we have got the correct colour.
