i would guess 3-5 years… i wouldn’t give any sort of guarantee, but minimum of 3 years anyway. [Laminated]

i have a job i did at least 5 years ago. 10×5 digital print onto a free standing sign. totally exposed and south facing. looks as good as the day i put it up.

vehicle graphics etc is different, they take a right pounding, but as long as they are laminated, other than abrasion and weathering of the media, the prints colour should be fine pretty sound.

something that i never see anyone asking about with all the CHEAP ink deals going around IS… UV stability of the INK? do any of these suppliers offer life expectancy in writing? and if they do, is there any REAL sort of cover from their gaurantees, or are we wide open with loop holes?

    anyway… 🙄

    Hi There,

You will get a warranty from 2 years to 5 years in writing subject to using OEM inks and the correct matched vinyl/laminate , Oracal / Avery and 3M will all have a warrantied selection but only with Original inks.

Thx. I would rather not have to go all solvent ink, so if semi solvent can last 2-3 yrs. Thats ok.

    Thank you for replies.
