    Hi All,

Does anyone use Frog Juice to protect solvent prints to gone vehicles? If so do you have any comments on it.

I have used it and not had any problems with it. I have even over laminated it afterwards on a big job I done just to give it a bit more UV protection.

I’ve used it on 2 jobs about 5 years ago, at the time I thought yeah good gear. When I saw it after about three years, I cringed, the image underneath had all cracked and it looked abysmal. Of the 2 jobs, one I had to strip as the vehicle was changing hands…..What an absolute nightmare to strip. My tip, leave well alone!!

I had the same problems ^^^^^^^

Can’t you over laminate with a vinyl?

Do you guys get Viponds Digi clear over there? I like using this one…Foam "brush" to apply and seems to last well too.

    Hello,
Although Frog Juice boasts ‘New Improved Formula’ on the can, I would still be very reluctant to use it for long term projects.

Spurred on by this thread I contacted a company called Landor, http://www.landoruk.com Tel:01252 624 411, and spoke with Roger, I hope that’s right because I have a terrible memory for names, who assured me that their product ‘Clearstar’ does not yellow, is available in aerosol, and comes in a range of finishes which would be perfect for clear liquid laminating printed self adhesive vinyl….product info due in any moment via e-mail.

I am not connected with Landor in any shape or form apart from being a new customer.

I just hope it does what it says on the can!

    Best regards
    Jeremy

I had a notice on my front door for over 3 years (I put a small date in the corner) half was Frog juiced and half left plain. There was no problem with either half when I removed it a few months ago. No fading or cracking, nothing. It also didn’t yellow. The door is black and gets hot as hell when the sun shines, and is in full sun most of the day.
