Hi all, appologies if this has been asked before…

i am about to manufacture a sign with raised cut out letters to be mounted onto locators. The letters are to be made from 3mm dibond composite material.

Can anyone recommend a suitable adhesive to bond the locators to the dibond?

    Cheers

yes, has come up a few times.

My personal favourite is evostik ‘serious stuff’.

It’s a rubberised adhesive with great grab. I use it for trays too.

Gorilla glue etc. have also been suggested.

What NOT to use is an epoxy such as araldite or a superglue.

Initial grab is good, but after a few years or a bad knock it can just drop off.

Glad someone else asked this, I didnt want to flood the boards with my "dibond tray" questions!!

Rich had been very helpful with some in depth pics so am ready to rock and roll with my first one, will nip to screwfix first and get some evostik first though.

Andy when making the corners you need a glue that sets hard !
when the tray is bent you need to set the corners, using evostick is not a good idea. As I said a 2 part glue is a must. On with the first question I never glue locators but drill and screw, using self tappers. Rich
