Acrylic wall fixings
Hi All
I have a large menu board to erect and would like to know the best way to fix it. It is on to a tiled wall and the size of the acrylic sheet is 950mm wide by 1620mm high (5mm acrylic)
Grafityp do a product called "stronghold small sign fixings" but what is considered a small sign, or can you get bigger fixings like these for larger signs? If these are OK to use how many would I need to put along the 1620mm length to ensure it is well enugh supported and won’t bend in the centre.
What is the best method to mount and where can I get it from?

Hi warren there’s loads of suppliers around if you browse a trade mag or search on here you will find all sorts of companies supplying stand off locator’s, personally i would use a wider one than the picture you posted and think about having them 500mm/750mm apart rather than just at each corner to better support the sign.

find I-SPI TRADE on the internet, don’t have the number to hand. They are Glasgow based but I have never had a problem with them. Fast delivery too.
I used some 50mm brushed effet ones on 10mm frosted acrylic panel, they looked great.

Best fixings we have used are from Fairfield Displays or Albion –
The fixing heads are big enough to allow you to oversize the fixing holes
in the sheet, which helps if your drilling is slightly out of position.I wouldn’t want to use anything thinner than 5mm acrylic for a panel that size
as there will be plenty of ‘whip’ in a sheet that size.Consider at least six fixings in a panel that size, and if you need more
to stop the panel flexing once it’s fitted, you could always drill a couple
more holes in the acrylic while your on site and add two more.good luck 🙂

Thanks for that mate, I was having a hard time trying to find larger stand off fittings and was about to post again when I had a look through all the brochures I have and found Albions brochure, I have ordered from them already and had great service and a good product (yet to fit them though)
The guys I ordered my Acrylic from (5mm) told me about Fairfield Displays.
Although too late, your information was spot on and I appreciate you taking the time to post it.
