Don’t usually get time to post on here, but thought i’d share this one with you.

Customer is having a new indoor swimming pool built and got us to make up a 2.5m tall acrylic football logo that he’s going to have installed on the floor of the new swimming pool !!!

Quite a random request, but should look good once installed. Thankfully it’s being fitted before the water goes in.

Is it possible to tell me something about how you did this…
Fullcolour print on transparent? and covered with white?
    Flatbed print direct onto acrylic?
    Wich materials etc…

    Thanks,

Good morning Tim, yes no problem.

The main panel is a 6mm thick clear acrylic sheet, then the logo reverse printed onto clear vinyl and applied to the rear. The whole panel was then backed in solid white vinyl and edges trimmed.

Apparently the panel will be bonded to the swimming pool floor and and sealed around the edges to protect the print.

Hopefully we’ll get passed some photos of the panel finally installed.

looks great Adrian, thanks for posting mate.
not seen you around in a good while now, hope your keeping busy.

i am guessing this will be in the deep end of the pool?
reason i mention is if its a shallow indoor/home pool you may catch your toe on the sharp edge of the acrylic if surface mounted?

good to see another innovative sign making product. and thanks for taking the time to load your work mate.

Hi Rob, yes been very busy thanks …. which is always good.
I must try and get more of our projects on here to show everyone.

I am presuming that this will be in the deep end yeah. We did make sure there were no sharp edges though and flame polished the edges to make doubly sure. I’m hoping the contractor will get some pictures of the panel installed.
