A time for reflection – rememberance
Posted by Colin Bland on 5 November 2018 at 20:44We are all busy rushing around on with the next job trying to earn a living.
Today we took half hour out to make up this banner and fitted in place of our usual advertising banner.
Hope it may give others on here some inspirationMartin Pearson replied 6 years, 11 months ago 8 Members · 13 Replies -

Not this time David, I nearly did but opted to use white reflective, by day the design has a smokey filter over it so it’s fairly dark.

What do you make these out of and how do they stand up? Do you do these as a freebie?

Very nice, I didn’t know you could weld aluminium, can a normal MIG welder do this and what type of stuff do you need?

pretty sure you need a TIG welder for Ali, don’t think mig works as it relies on electrical current.
the soldiers I made were just old composite signs I’d taken down from an arena when I replaced them, I have just made some more in 12mm ply for a customer though, sprayed black with rattle cans, the recycled ones I sold (what I am not using) and gave the money to the poppy appeal, the wooden ones I’ve charged a nominal amount for as a business wants to use them annually.

TIG for Aluminium & it is not as forgiving as some other materials when it comes to welding so a little more skill involved generally 😆 😆
