A bit of a long shot this! I have a Hix Baseball Cap Press which apparently has an older style Platen which is too flat for todays typical cap size.

I can buy a new platen at great expense but if anyones has one lying around I’d be pleased to hear from you!

    Hi Martin,

We had the same problem last year with a Adkins cap press bought through Xpress, the arc of the platen didn’t match the arc of todays caps!

after speaking with Xpress (who were US) and Adkins who tried to help we had a local machine shop shape some metal to bond to the platen and make another bed the same arc as we required.

We found this experience strange because the cap press was new.

    Thanks Anjasola,

Just to clarify, did you have the aditional piece made for the Heated upper part, or the bed?

We had both top and bottom parts made, otherwise arcs would have just touched at one part.
