A question for Mac users
Hi everyone,
Firstly,
I’ve been emailing AI artwork attatchments to suppliers so that they can quote me
on some built up letters. However when they receive the file on their PC’s it has been
split into two files, neither of which can be read by them. Does anybody have a work around or a fix for this problem?Secondly,
I’d like to be able to fax directly from my Mac, if your already doing this which software
are you using?Thanks

To send mac archives to PC add the extensions to the archives (.ai) in this case.
If still get problems, compress all the archives with Zip compression.

I was nearly right with what I tried originally then, by appending a .eps extension. If only I’d have gone with the .ai 👿 -
To suggest an answer to you faxing question – are you using OSX? If so take a look at Pagsender (www.smilesoftware.com) – it’s a very nifty bit of software that lets you fax and email almost anything.

Dunno if you have web space anywhere, but if you do you can upload a jpg of the file if its just for someone to look at and then just email the link to them.

you had to outline any mac stuff
and save them as .ai
but less than version 5.5
in order to open them pc?
