I am afraid to say that Nigeria is the scam capital of the World, so a scam it probably is. I would imagine that at some point in your conversation with this person he will ask you to lay out some cash in order to ‘facilitate our transaction’ or some such nonsense.

It makes you wonder what damage these people are doing to the possibility of any actual honest trade with their country. The name ‘Nigeria’ has become synonymous with ‘scam’. 🙄

Shane we get emails where they will pay by "major credit card" for shipment of goods from our online shop.

We just say no CC payments for overseas sales, we never hear from them again.

A Friend of mine who sells computers was contacted through his website and asked to supply a large quantity of monitors, about £9500. They sent the cheque to him, but he wouldn’t part with them until the cheque had cleared. Good job, because it bounced due to it being a stolen cheque book.
