4th International Wrap Artists Competition

Contra Vision is sponsoring an international competition to find the best see-through window graphics, advertisement, sign or other designs placed on the windows of any building, vehicle, POP, entrance doors or partitions. All winners will receive a limited edition glass sculpture by an internationally recognised artist. The overall winner will receive a limited edition glass sculpture and $500. All projects submitted must use Contra Vision® Perforated Window Film, Contra Vision® Impress™ (formally known as Contra Vision® ORS™) or Contra Vision® XR™ technologies.
The competition is split into 5 categories and there will also be an overall winner.
1. Building Wraps
These create eye-catching visual statements, showcasing brand identity in the most prominent way possible, while still maintaining through vision for workers or visitors in the building.

2. Point-of Purchase
See-though graphics enable prominent advertising to be displayed on retail windows and doors, as catching the attention of a customer just before they make a buying decision is very effective.


3. Vehicle Wraps
A vehicle completely wrapped with graphics covering the body work and some of the windows is a striking, moving example of how the combination of graphics produced with solid vinyl and perforated window film work in harmony.

4. Transit advertising
See-through graphics enable advertisements to extend beyond the limits of the metal bodywork of a bus, tram or train, increasing the image impact and giving more space for creating dramatic attention-grabbing images.

5. Innovative Uses
The use of see-through graphics is not limited to outside windows, with potential applications on any transparent surface such as internal partitions or balustrades.


See-through window graphics provide advertising, branding, signs or décor on glazing to be viewed form the outside but seen through from the inside, enabling application on areas where otherwise they would not be acceptable. Well designed, imaginative see-through graphics help promote the overall use of see-through graphics, inspiring others to consider it as a useful communication medium. The Contra Vision® Wrap Artists™ competition is designed to generate interest by showcasing the best see-through graphics worldwide. Contra Vision initiated the see-through window graphics market in the 1980s and continue to lead its innovations with 27 inventions patented or patent-pending to date.

The deadline for the receipt of entries is Friday 19 September 2014 and projects may have been executed at any time up to that date from 1 January 2012. The public announcement of award winners will be made on Wednesday 22 October at the SGIA 2014 Expo, Las Vegas. The award winners will be informed 7 days before that date.
