  • 2 cut lines on versacamm

Hi folks, Using my versacamm SP540 , I want to be able to cut the material I’m using twice as its quite thick, problem being that the first cut is perfectly online, ( only getting through the laminate , not vinyl ) I want to do a second pass of cut only but it registration is fine but the cut lines are 1mm off on the second pass, Is there a technique for doing this , I’m indexing back to the start, should I be removing the print in between times?

    Thanks

Tim I dont know about the versacam, but if you cant increase the pressure to cut in one pass I would put 2 identical cut lines on top of each other and then there would be no need to re-register, the cutter should just do everything twice.

If you are using Versaworks you can tell it how many cut passes you need in cut controls, may help.

Another way is to print with crop marks and use the ‘Cut only’ option – then you can keep loading and cutting until you get thru 🙂
