    I’ve noticed there are two versions of this printer the 1290s and 1290 are these both suitable for sublimation work or is in fact the Epson the most suitable choice for sublimation work or are there better and affordable options.

    Any response would be a great help.

    I believe the difference is in that the ‘S’ which stands for silver, is a later version, some minor difference to do with colour management. The Epson is the only choice for sublimation due to it’s Piezo print heads which do not heat the ink the others which are bubble jet, heating the ink to a bubble. eg. Canon HP Lexmark.
