070 telephone number scam?
Received this email today:-
"Subject: RE: Would Like A Call Please
Hi,
I’m getting in touch as a member of our business had requested a call from you a little while ago.
We are looking to get some costs if we can please?
Would someone be able to give me a call on 07011774160
I am in and out of the office today so it maybe a case of trying to catch me when free (or leave a VM).

Being a suspicous character I googled 070 telephone numbers to find this:-
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/news/a … bers-nov14I suspect it is a scam to get you to call the number and run up premium rate charges, (though not 100% certain if this is the case or not) so I replied by email with my landline number suggesting they call me at any time between 9-5. Needless to say I haven’t had a reply

You can’t throw a stone without hitting five scams…my junk folder gets filled with scams to get my hard earned….

We’ve had the same e-mail and suspected it was spam so just deleted it – just didn’t feel right!

i was out the office yesterday, came in this morning to 189 spam messages. I don’t open them but still scroll though them in case the odd one isn’t spam. Its starting to take longer each day. BTW if anyone is approached by a company called
APPY-PPL Please god don’t sign up with them, i have had a complete nightmare with the company. -

Bollocks… just dialled a 070 number from the e-mail bellow:
"Hi,
I’m chasing up on a previous request for a member of your business to contact us if possible?
We have been wanting to get some quotes for services provided please.
The best number for me today is the mobile as I am in and out of the office 07011772209
If for any reason I am not available when you call, please do leave a voicemail and I will call you back.
