    AI is definitely the way forward with regard to having access to it as an everyday tool for business.
    Even the fun aspects of it can be addictive, with the likes of photo manipulation, etc.
    It is a tool, though, and I think that as long as people educate themselves on how to properly use it as one, then the benefits could be endless. Unfortunately, as has been widely spoken about in the news, jobs will also be lost as a result.

    I think it is amazing how quickly it can generate the likes of this mini-booklet. But as much as I only skimmed certain pages, I can see areas where it could be improved. Having written your own signmaking book from scratch, Phill, I bet you could easily read over it, tweak it here and there, adding more content and making the read more specific to a small sign company! That said, it is a great starting point, regardless.

    Your clients aren’t buying vinyl or aluminum;

    they’re buying visibility—a tangible result that helps them get noticed, attract customers,

    and grow.

    100%, many people over look this. Looking at material & labour costs alone, without considering the real value the signage provides.

    Chapter 2 covers a good point, you see many companies trying to do everything, and sell to everyone, where I’ve found it better to offer a more select service to more suitable customers.

    The rest is rather generic – SEO/PPC, is all well and good, but I’ve been there, tried that and the ROI just wasn’t there.

    Up sells, and cross sells, I believe many a sign maker rocks up and just quotes on what they think the customer needs, rather than making an effort to ‘sell’ something better than a bog standard, budget solution. We know how varied the industry is… customers don’t.
