I don’t use Roland printers, but I would suggest an overnight soak. Could be dampers, or a head strike.

It’s worth a try, but looking at that I would prepare for the worst that it’s too far gone and will require a new head.

Also noticing some deflections on the other Magenta Head, and whilst it’s hard to tell on the photo the yellow beside 2nd from right looks to be missing blocks of nozzles.

Not familiar with that exact machine, but it could be that Y&M are on the same head.

Continuing to clean it may cause further damage to the head.

Thanks for the replies, I changed the cap top hoping it might be that but no change, head soak hasn’t really done anything. I wonder if I should try drawing ink out with a syringe? If anyone can advise of any tutorials I am struggling to find one lol

i would save some hassle and look at the print head, turn it off, take the 2 hex screws out one either side of the print head and carefully lift it up and look, if youve got any dents in it which happen from paper jams etc then its shot for that colour atleast.

if it doesnt have any dents then all good, soak over night and try again. but ill almost guarantee youll have a dent or 2

Hi there, the nozzles came back and went again, I have since changed dampers and the pump, almost cured the problem, now just a line of yellow missing, do you think it has an air lock in there
