Hey guys, have any of you used Teckwrap vinyl for a full vehicle wrap, we have a client who wants full car done in their Acid lime green, but they only offer a 3 year warranty on the product which we feel is a bit short (we may well be wrong!!) and wondered if any of you had any opinions or experience with this product. we are also looking at another wrap with one of their flip vinyls so any feed back would be very much appreciated.

    TIA Mark

From what I have seen in person and online, they have some really nice wrap film “effects and finishes”.

I have always thought the vinyl was a Chinese manufactured film, but at a sign exhibition, I’m sure someone corrected me and said it was American! Whether that means it’s sourced from China and distributed in the USA, or manufactured and sold in the USA, I do not know.

I have not wrapped a vehicle with it, but I messed around with it, wrapping door panels, pulling it off, re-applying etc, This was a few years back, but I remember not being that impressed, and I am sure this is NOT a Cast material, but a Polymeric film.
It is one thing to use a polymeric vinyl to wrap a car, but it is another thing to start adding sparkle metalics, multi-layer finishes and textures to a polymeric vinyl and then expect the same performance. I think not! 🀨

It’s one thing to offer super cool colours and finishes, but what really matters is how easily the film applies, how well it handles, and more importantly, how it performs once installed.
If a manufacturer won’t stand behind their product with a life on par with other premium wrapping films, you must assume it will fall well short of your expectations, or they would be shouting from the Heavens about it.

I remember voicing my opinions on this back some years ago, and I was told I was being overly critical and even opinionated, to a point. However, I have since seen lots of people complaining online and posting pictures of failed Teckwrap jobs!
Were they badly installed and failed, or properly installed and failed? Who knows! πŸ€”πŸ˜€

Spoke to them few years back at SEMA show, USA company (with China manufacturing plant), calendared film not cast.

But never used product, so can’t comment.

Take manufacturers warranties with a pinch of salt. They might offer a 3 year warranty, but I certainly wouldn’t be.

I’m sure there’s a local company to me who only warrant tech wrap for 3 Month’s.
