  • Pavement Signs, who is best?

    Posted by Mark Johnston on 14 August 2023 at 07:36

    there was a post on here a few weeks ago about suppliers overstepping the mark and possibly becoming our competition. so i was wondering who you are using?
    i dont know of many suppliers for pavement signs but signwaves offer to supply, print and deliver the sign for you. surely that means they are now a sign maker?

    we dont do lots of them but i am now being a bit more picky on who we buy our supplies from. am i being paranoid? ๐Ÿค”

    the key point is ( are they willing to sell direct or not? ) if they are then avoid them and hit them in their pocket like they are hitting us.

      I wasn’t aware they were selling direct, do they have a retail website too?

        I was aware they sold finished products, mostly to larger businesses ie: Walls Ice Cream.

        A different matter if they’re selling one off’s to our typical customers.

    @Hugh-Potter
    they dont need separate sites.

    have a read at this page, does it sound like they are trying to sell signs to just about anyone or do you think it is strictly trade only?

      Hard to say if they’re specifically targeing the end user, or simply offering advice. I’m certain you need an account to be able to see prices and purchase from the website, if I recall I needed to provide a letterhead / company No. to get the account many years ago.

      It may have changed, I don’t know.

    How to use event signage to boost attendance and engagement

    I would have to say it is aimed at the people hosting an event, and not sign makers looking to buy from signwaves as a trade supplier.

    I use signwaves but reading this and also what David has just said about them already supplying big companies directly, is rather annoying to say the least! ๐Ÿคจ
