Tip: Roland PC-60 & Gerber Edge Durability.

ROLAND PC60 & GERBER EDGE
Over the past few years I have suffered from both the
Roland PC-60 & The Gerber edge.
Both companies claim outdoor durability for graphics printed using there machines. I personally have a PC-60 & a close friend has an edge.
Yes both machines do a good job. Yes both machines have their pros & cons.
I have used graphics from both machines & both do not stand the outdoor test of time. Claimed by there creators.
What I am about to explain to you will increase the graphics life by at least ten times. I have tried and tested using this method for 2-3 years & have never had 1 problem after applying my graphics.

1/ After printing your graphic do not kiss cut it.
Leave excess vinyl surrounding graphic. Using selo tape, stick graphic down. Doing this will stop the graphic rising or moving later.

2/ You may need a hand for this section but can be done alone. Using clear vinyl. Keeping tight always, tack one side of vinyl to bench. Hovering the printed graphic beneath.

3/ Keeping one side tight & hovering graphic, using a rubber roller or
Squeegee, starting at the tacked down side, start rolling up & down graphic Working your way towards the other side. Be sure to keep vinyl from touching graphic until roller passes over it. Be careful when doing this. As you do not want any bubbles!!! I please note: find a much better finish with the roller.

4/ You should be left with a nice gloss finish to your graphic.
At this time all that is required is for you to trim round the graphic with
a Stanley knife. & Proceed to tape up for application.
