How to create a scaled vehicle template from a photograph.
(Step 1)
Open your photo and draw a panel over an area that you know the size of, in this case, the door width.
(Step 2)
Double-click and come in close to adjust the panel to be exactly right.

Re-select panel Go layout- size,
enter the measurement you know and take a note of the percentage figure-DON’T OK -close window
Deselect the panel and select the complete photo. Then go to. Layout -size –enter the previous percentage figure into the percentage box and OK the photo should then be exactly to scale –check the panel measurement –dead right!!
I then add the final size of the photo to its file name so whenever I need to use the photo to scale I just size it with this measurement.
