  Vinyl cutter, X position alarm. Advice needed please?

  Hi everyone,

  I have a Graphtec CE5000-60, I’ve had this machine for 10 year and its never missed a beat, however, I went to use it today and initially it would give me a x position alarm when I loaded material, now when I switch machine on it gives me the X position alarm.

  Any help greatly appreciated.

  Hi Stuart,

  It’s not my area of expertise but have you cleaner the sensor strip?

  Our Graphtec bleeps if you don’t have the carriage positioned between the width of the grit rollers when you turn it on. the vinyl sensors are the little squares at the front and rear of where the vinyl passes through the gantry. could one of these be dirty/clogged as Graham says?
