If the printer was a current model when Onyx Thrive 11 came out, then you just need the driver. Otherwise, it’s an upgrade I’m afraid.

We have ONYX 11 and we use One Licence of the software to run two HP Latex printers.

I have also just started using the ONYX Lite on a pay monthly subscription. Just to see how it compares. So far nothing major jumping out at me, but early days.

I don’t know anything about Onyx Thrive but if it’s not a lite version and is a full package I think it should work on more than one printer at a time. I guess the worst-case scenario the Onyx Lite pay a month is a good alternative at £35.53 per month.

FYI: to upgrade from Onyx 12 to latest (21?) we’ve been quoted £1200 (multi machine dongle)

We upgraded our Onyx X10 to Thrive V19 just over a year ago, and got a special price of £995.00. This is for 2 printers and 2 RIPs, so you can RIP 2 jobs at once.

    Thanks for your help everyone.

Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction on who best to get an upgrade/additional licence?

We got our upgrade from Perfect Colours, but we did buy a printer at the same time. You could also try SEDO, or Paper Graphics.

Thanks for the contact. I’ve been in contact, so hopefully it’s fairly pain free and not too expensive!
