  • Removal of rear door handle on Vauxhall Vivaro 2020 (new shape)

    Hi all

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Has anyone removed the rear door handle on a new shape 2020 Vauxhall Vivaro?

I have removed the side screw but the actual lock mechanism won’t budge. I’ve tried forcing it, playing about loosening and tightening the screw but that doesn’t do anything.

The lock mechanism is loose when I undo the screw and does have slight play in it but won’t slide out.

    Anyone?

    I haven’t removed a “2020 Vivaro” handle, but I did attempt a door handle on a Vivaro a year ago and it was a nightmare! I stopped and reassembled it. ( i don’t know the model/age )

I managed to get it off.

On the new 2020 version it’s exactly the same as the older type, it was just stuck. The way I got it out is to under the side screw, open the door handle, grab the lock part and gently punch the screwdriver in, I did have to prise it out though.

I did a second door handle yesterday and it came out much easier, had I known how it came out, I wouldn’t have had to waste so much time trying to work it out.
