I understand there is loads to be said about this topic butwould like clarification in this case.

My client has set up a company called Cocomelon Ltd and is opening a shop, he is selling fruit and Veg.

He has asked me to do a simple yellow sign with green text of Cocomelon. Me being me had an inkling that this name was familiar, I have young children, and it is the name of a animation company/programme with UK and US trademarks. The mother company done ” Baby Shark”

Where does he/we stand with using the name in print form to advertise the shop.

I have found the registration on Gov.uk https://trademarks.ipo.gov.uk/ipo-tmtext/page/Results

    TIA

    Iain

As long as the logo / sign doesn’t resemble the Trademarked image, or imitate the Trademarked brand all will be fine – Even more so as its a Fruit & Veg shop, not a Animation Company.

EG: You can be called MacDonalds Builders, but cannot have a logo of golden arches, or a tagline say ‘Big Mick Builders’ 🤨

That was my thoughts but wanted some clarification.

      Thank you Colin.
