  • Getting an Error when reading a file in Signlab, advice please?

Posted by Tommy Hutcheson on 22 February 2020 at 00:25

    Hi all,

I’ve been using this file for a while as it has recurring work on it. All of a sudden I’m getting error reading file [:\ my file name.CDL].

    Any advice is much appreciated

If the file is corrupt, did you try the backup file Signlab creates?

May not be relevant but I quite often get this when trying to open a file that was created (or saved) on a different computer using a newer version of Signlab.

If this is the case, Tommy. Just make sure all fonts etc are ungrouped and select text to graphics and export as PDF or .eps etc.
