Never had the need to use this but we have a customer who wants labels printed on to paper and then cut. What do you use? As they are applying these themselves and they are only 40mmx50mm they are finding the vinyl thinner and of course they have air bubbles in them when they fit them. Thought about air release but as the detail is quite small I’m not sure it will work.

    Thanks

Hexis did do a self adhesive poster paper that I had some success with print and cutting on our Summa but doesn’t appear to be listed on their website anymore unfortunately. Their sales rep gave me a sample of a sticker that was print and cut on their WAL320SA self adhesive wallpaper, that might be suitable.

Have you tried offering them a laminated vinyl sample? Might be easier to handle with the extra thickness to it from the laminate.

Thanks, it’s not worth laminating, it’s more a favour for a very good client. Numbers are too low for flex. I have a sample coming from Spandex, somebody also mentioned Roland, not sure if this is available in the UK though

Pretty sure Grafityp sell one. Slightly cheaper than monomeric. Most likely be able to get a 5m roll of them to.

Can you get pre cut A4 sheets.

We do a few through our Xerox where there’s small detail. Just cant get it too close to the cut on it on smaller labels.

Use Metamark MDP range (matt or gloss) – 100micron thick, great for stickers

Thanks Colin, I’m using MD5 at the moment, is this thicker?

yup, feels nice & thick, my customers love it – we just done 6000 wheelie bin stickers with it (the High Tack version).

Ask for a sample, your like it.

Grafityp do a matt poster paper that prints ok for labels and has a polyester lining so you can supply labels on sheets without having to weed

Thanks Chris, just contacted them and they will only sell a 50metre roll? Odd.
