  • Help – LED driver help and software

    Hi,
I have been given a rather nice 2004 Led Sign, the type you can programme and it flashes up messages. Its quite large at approx 6 foot and although quite old we thought it would be rather nice to put in our shop. It was originally supplied by a company called Pop up signs (no longer trading) and has no manufacturers name on it. It has a power lead and a usb lead.
It currently all works with the previous owners message on it. when i plug usb into the computer the computer acknowledges the plug in with a "beep" but does not recognise the device. So I presume i need some drivers and or software. Am I wasting my time or is there a reasonably easy solution.

Thank you in advance for any help.

You may be able to find drivers from the hardware IS, or dismantle the sign and look on the board/PCB for model numbers etc. Take a pic as well as it may help. There could be identifying marks on the chip also. Then just Google-fu the hell out of the codes etc.
