Hi, im quoting to wrap this roof, spoiler, mirrors and side pillars in gloss black.

Wondering on time, roofs i normally charge 1.5 hrs.

Is 4 hrs cutting it too fine?

    Thanks

only you will really know the time this will take, as every one’s ability is different.
however, I would say 4 hours "should" be enough. Personally, I would definitely tell the customer to leave it for an entire day. jobs like this require more time on the trimming and tucking of the vinyl into the rubber around windows and so on, than the actual vinyl application itself. Take your time with it, jobs like this appear simple enough but can be very time consuming to do it correct.

    p.s.
if that spoiler doesn’t come off, I doubt you will get the vinyl in underneath and right to the back.

Yes thanks rob. Im quoting ball park figure, between this and that. If its in his price range then i ask to drop by so i can inspect, calculate vinyl, come up with a fitting plan and give an accurate price.

Spoiler i was assuming will be in fitted in 2 pieces with a seam under the lip. Not enthusiastic with dismantly bodywork

I’d be tempted to say 4-5 hours. Like Rob said a lot depends on how much finishing is needed. Also bear in mind you might need to do a pile of cleaning 1st, especially behind the rubbers and also under the roof strips if there is any. I find it very useful when wrapping the side parts to draw a line using a dry wipe marker on the body with the doors closed to show how far the material has to come down on the sides. When you open the doors you can then apply cutting tape 10mm in from this line to make sure the door rubbers don’t catch on the material. Not sure if that makes sense or not though lol.

Here’s something similar I done a few weeks ago.
