    HI all,
At the end of a long sticker print run, I’ve hit form feed and cut… it feeds but doesn’t cut! I’ve restarted it with no difference. I’ve also had it do some test plots which always auto cut off, no cutting attempt at all.

All I have done, saturday am, was to do a carriage rail clean, and empty about 2 pints of waste ink from the trap below the filter below the fan (above the waste ink container) I didn’t even know that was there!!

Have I switched something off somehow? knocked something when cleaning?

    TIA.

    Hugh

different printer, but my Z6100 won’t cut certain media types (can’t think which off the top of my head) and does exacly the same, feeds but doesn’t cut so might be worth checking what’s been selected when the media was loaded

Check you don’t have the vinyl loaded as banner or something that does not normally cut.

Secondly check its not been disabled in the settings on main screen as i’m sure you can turn it off.

The cutter is a simple part, check its working manually, It was a while back but had to replace mine after a few years due to a fault but its a small part and simply changed by yourself if you can get one.

Thanks Paul, I get that on some media – banner mainly, but I almost exclusively use the glossy vinyl profile for all media with great results.

However, on the last print I did it seems to have sorted itself!
