My New function for laminators, what do you think?
This may have been done already.
But for my am currently enjoying a relaxing Friday afternoon watching our mounters mate turn out 20,000 labels instead of weeding them manually..

Wow! How smoothly has it gone? Have you had many labels lift?

Not one label so far.
Only did a 5m test to be fair today. Going to leave a 50m roll printing through the night and giving it a bash at the start of the week.
I’ll post up a video of the full set-up all going well.But all going well we are going to be done and dusted with these labels in 15 minutes (WOW).

Great idea, weeded over five thousand laminated labels today, wish I’d seen this post earlier. Saw a weeding machine a while back, very similar in principal to a laminator.

Yea that’s where I got the idea from pretty much. Just popped into my head at 11 at night as these ideas do. Bit of tinkering around to make it work. Had to use a pole from one of the vinyl racks to stop it from sticking to itself. I’ll get a video of it in action at start of the week and share it.

I’ll be having a go at this over the break Chris, could be a massive time saver. Thanks for posting this, I’m always getting ragged for being some kind of mad scientist because I try different ideas out. Not all of them work but when they do it’s a great feeling

Genius, :praiseyou: will be using this idea several times in the new year with our annual prints for a couple of customers. I have resorted to providing unweeded labels in the past because of the cost of manual weeding but this will make life so much easier.

:claps:Might take a bit of tweaking. Will get a video tomorrow. Labels are on the machine this now. Should be done by 9am (rolls eyes)

There we go gentleman.
We changed the set-up a little to get rid of the pole we had to put in.
Worked well. 25 minutes to get through a 50m roll.
13,000 labels on it, admittedly we did lose maybe 50-60 ish. 90% of that is down to our cutting strip I think. Maybe could of done with a bit more tension for the labels going into the roll at the back would of saved a few.All in all though a success on my side I think. We will do it again. Can’t upload a video here, but there is one on our Instagram story (creativesignandprint)

Love this time saving idea, we are looking to do more small label work in the new year so will be giving it a try. Omar at mounted mate would love this post.
