  • Print job ok in illustrator but prints 40mm ish too short?

Posted by Greg McCarthy on 25 July 2018 at 13:35

    Got a job 3050mm x 1300mm

Certain parts of the job are accurately in place when we rip but prints 40mm or so off??

    Any possible reasons?

If you can, check the rip software is showing the scale at 100%? Might be that by the time the rip software has added any crop marks ect along the edge the 1300MM is a tad too large for the substrate you’re printing onto?

Is it just on the length or the width as well?

We’d the same problem with our gr640 printing short. It turned out that the feed calibration settings needed adjusted to suit the media. Someone was playing with settings they didn’t understand!!!

David, I think thats the same for us. We sent the job straight to the rip software instead of using rasterlink and it worked??
