Dawson Sign Group, anyone know of them?

Just wondering if anybody on here has had dealings with Mike Dawson from Dawson Sign Group based in Blackpool.
He had a Mutoh printer listed on eBay which I didn’t win on auction, but a couple of days later he messaged me to say he had a couple of units on offer and that I could have one on Second Chance Offer.
I agreed to have the printer from him and he sent me over an invoice which I paid via Bank transfer. (Foolishly I know)
Some two months down the line the printer still hasn’t arrived nor has my promised refund from him. He is still in contact with me over it all but I now suspect as I did very early on that he is a fraudster.
It is possible he is using the genuine details for a Mike Dawson and he personally is not who he claims to be.
I’ve done some research and there was a Dawson Sign company that dissolved some time back and Mike Dawson was a director.
I have a valid VAT Registration number and address for him in Burnley, but just curios to know of anybody who might know of this guy or who has been similarly conned.
It’s seems that at every chance where he was going to deliver my printer something cropped up that means it was delayed. Ditto with my refund!!! This has been going on for two months now and details of this deception has been passed to the police to deal with.
Just be cautious and don’t get caught out like I have. This financial loss has led to the possible closing of my business due to my savings being lost.

Did you pay by PayPal through eBay? You can claim back through them if you did.

This no help I am afraid but did you post the same question on another forum? Or did someone else post the same question on here? I think there was some replies stating the company may have closed due to financial reasons.
